About Lessoncast

Lessoncast has been leading technology-supported professional learning since 2012. We help schools put professional learning into classroom practice and then share evidence of its impact on teaching and student outcomes. Through targeted and engaging PD modules paired with a reflective process for sharing lessons learned, teachers and leaders deepen understanding and build internal capacity. Recipients of the Gates Foundation – EdSurge Innovative PD Challenge and the Digital Innovation in Learning Award (DILA) for the Listen and Learn Category, Lessoncast blends innovative solutions with practical application to design and deliver PD that educators need, want, and use in their daily professional practice. As an edTPA platform provider, Lessoncast also partners with Colleges of Education to support teacher performance assessment in pre-service teaching programs.

Founder and CEO Nicole Tucker-Smith co-authored the book, Supercharge Your Professional Learning: 40 Concrete Strategies to Improve Adult Learning, which provides practical how-to information for applying the UDL Guidelines to professional learning experiences. She is an international presenter on UDL and a member of the CAST National Faculty. Nicole also leads the Jumpstart PD Network, a community for equity-minded educators to work smarter and more efficiently in designing impactful PD. This network includes communities of practice focused on topics including UDL implementation, teaching for equity, and designing high-quality distance learning experiences.
